TRAVEL

Texas A&M university (main campus map) is located in College Station.

• By Airplane - Easterwood Airport (code = CLL) is located approximately 3 miles southwest of the physics department. "American Eagle" and "Continental Connection" have service to this airport from Dallas/Ft Worth and Houston, respectively.

• New Shuttle Service beween Houstion (IAH)^* and College Station
  * Houston has two airports, currently we only serve IAH (Bush)

HOTELS

We reserved about 100 rooms at two hotels near by the Department of Physics which is located on Spence Street.

• La Quinta Inn [Map] - 75 rooms are reserved. The rate will be $72/single or double and will be released on May 1, 2007. Details are provided in this PDF file.

• Hilton [Map(pdf)] [Map(jpg)] - 35 rooms are reserved. The rate will be $85/single or double and will be released on April 22, 2007. Please use Group Code PPC07 when making reservation. Details are provided in this PDF file.

TRANSPORTATION TO CAMPUS

[1] Bus Service between the following hotels and campus is available between Monday and Friday.
• Hilton
• La Quinta Inn

  The tentative schedule on each day can be reviewed here. There will also be van (6-7 passangers) service on

  • Sunday between La Quinta and Hilton for the reception (at Hilton).
    People who stay at La Quinta will find a "van service" sign at the check-in counter.
  • Moday-Friday between Hilton/La Quinta and the campus.
    Call Sheldon Campbell or James Maxin to arrange the van service.

Two parking locations are near the workshop site.

Permits are required. (With “scratch off” permits, there is no charge, but each permit is good for only one day.)
